When performed accordingly and in a quantity suitable for component volume and risk profile, these tests validate the in-situ envelope system performance under the project's prescribed criteria while also identifying potential items of concern (ideally before interior finishes and occupants are at risk).

The current status quo, submitting "equivalent" PMU reports, is frequently allowing shifts in detailing, materials, install processes (and staff), and other critical performance elements to slip through the quality assurance process undetected, increasing the likelihood of "new" problems emerging on installed products.

We develop and execute project-specific and cost-conscious local (to team principals or, preferably, the project site) mockups that deliver tremendous value and convidence - for a price that preempts any "VE" justification for scope deletion.

The ultimate evaluation of building envelope air tightness

To demonstrate compliance with IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, USACE protocols, and other local code adoptions, HTL offers a number of compartmentalized and whole-building air barrier tests.

Available to Architect, insurer, owner, brokers/buyers, banks, and manager clients. Available to select developers on a probationary basis. General contractors and subcontractors ("trade partners") are explicitly excluded from consideration for HTL consulting services at this time.
